Brumby announces $6 million to promote Victoria at Shanghai World Expo 2010
Premier John Brumby has announced Victoria will commit $6 million towards promoting the state’s strengths in key sectors at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
Nanotechnology, information technology, biotechnology, environmental technology, food and wine and agribusiness will be highlighted, as will programs showcasing Victoria as a leader in education, tourism and the arts.
Victoria’s program of activities will enhance Australia’s strong contribution to the Shanghai expo theme ‘Better City, Better Life’, by promoting Victoria’s growing reputation in urban planning, architecture, environmental technologies and interior design.
